Mall Fever Grips Dubai Tourist Industry

Tourists considering a visit to the United Arab Emirates have been advised that one location in particular is very popular for a number of reasons.

[PRposts, Mon Sep 21 2009] A spokesman for the Emaar Hospitality Group has commented on the many people who flock to the Dubai Mall every year to take in some of the various sights it has to offer.

Marc Dardenne, chief executive officer of the group, said that with an estimated three million visitors each month, the venue that claims to be "the world's largest shopping and entertainment destination" continues to attract people.

"Together with such spectacles as The Dubai Fountain and Burj Dubai, [the mall] has become one of the most-preferred tourist destinations in Dubai," he added.

His comments follow the announcement of a new 244-room hotel that is being attached to the complex, which will feature a blend of Arabian and modern decor as well as a poolside restaurant and lobby lounge.
The mall also has a multi-screen cinema complex which will soon host 22 individual theatres and the first ever to carry the THX audio certification in the UAE.

The world’s largest shopping and entertainment complex its opened the doors to a new hotel in Dubai this week, it has been announced.
As part of a growing portfolio of properties in the Address Hotels and Resorts canon, the 244-room building sports an elliptical design with views of the Burj tower.
In addition, being linked directly to the ever popular Dubai Mall, the accommodation can offer easy access to exclusive fashion advisors and personal shoppers, while retaining a host of high profile hospitality options.
Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties, a leading Dubai estate agent said the opening was a tribute to how the emirate was moving into a new phase of development and progress.

"Dubai is continuing to beat all projections in terms of visitor arrivals with over 1.85 million guests hosted in the second quarter of this year. This indicates a robust growth of tourism and growing demand for hotels," he added.

It is thought that with continued progress being made in luxury accommodation and world-class lifestyle facilities, levels of Dubai investment will make the emirate into one of the region’s most popular tourist destination spots for years to come.
